Editorial Policy
At Jaxomo, I take pride in creating content that is genuine, original, and reader-focused. This editorial policy explains how I approach the blog’s content to ensure it remains authentic and trustworthy:
-
Original Content: All posts on Jaxomo are written by me (Ksenija) and reflect my real opinions, experiences, and research. I do not publish copied or plagiarized content – if I reference information or use inspiration from other sources, I make sure to give proper credit or a mention. My goal is to provide unique insights or personal takes rather than rehash what you might find elsewhere.
-
Tone & Voice: The tone of Jaxomo is friendly, conversational, and personal. I write as if I’m chatting with a friend over coffee, not as an impersonal authority. You’ll notice a lot of first-person storytelling (“I” statements) because I’m sharing my own journey in fashion and beauty. While I aim to be informative, I keep the language easy to understand and avoid unnecessary jargon. If I discuss any complex concept (say, an ingredient in a skincare product), I’ll explain it in simple terms so that it’s accessible to everyone.
-
Honesty & Integrity: Trust is super important to me. Whether I’m raving about a new moisturizer or critiquing a clothing trend, you can count on the fact that it’s my honest opinion. I never post something just because it’s “buzz-worthy” if I don’t genuinely believe in it or like it. If I have a mixed experience with a product or trend, I’ll share the good and the not-so-good. My readers deserve transparency – for instance, if a product was a gift or part of a collaboration, I will clearly disclose that (see the General Disclosure section below). Likewise, if I ever make a mistake or discover new information that changes my perspective, I’m willing to update a post or clarify it.
-
Fact-Checking & Sources: While Jaxomo is a personal blog, I sometimes include facts or tips (for example, skincare ingredient benefits or fashion history tidbits). I strive to ensure any factual information is accurate and from a reliable source. If I mention specific statistics or studies (say, a dermatological study on a skincare ingredient), I’ll reference where that info came from, either within the text or as a note. However, since this isn’t an academic or news site, you’ll more often find experiential content (“This cream made my skin feel X”) rather than heavy data. Still, I want what is shared factually to be correct to the best of my knowledge. If you ever spot something that seems off, I welcome you to let me know so I can look into it – accuracy matters to me.
-
Content Variety & Relevance: Fashion and beauty are broad topics, and I like to cover a little bit of everything that sparks joy for me. One week I might post a casual outfit lookbook, and the next week a review of a new lipstick. I keep content relevant to the blog’s theme (you probably won’t find me writing about tech gadgets or politics here!). I also pay attention to feedback – if readers show a lot of interest in a particular subject (for example, sustainable fashion or curly hair care routines), I’ll consider creating more content around that. However, I won’t chase every trend; I stick to topics that genuinely interest me and fit the spirit of Jaxomo.
-
No Misleading Information: I am careful not to spread misinformation, especially when it comes to beauty (like skincare advice) or anything that could affect someone’s well-being. I always clarify that I’m not a professional. For instance, if I talk about a skincare routine that worked for me, I’ll note that everyone’s skin is different and what works for me may not work for you. I avoid making extreme promises (“This product will completely change your life in one day!”) because that’s not realistic. My content is based on personal experience and research, and I present it truthfully and with appropriate disclaimers when needed (see the Disclaimer section).
-
Guest Content: Currently, Jaxomo is a one-woman show – I write all the content myself. In the future, if I ever invite guest contributors or do an interview, I will ensure those contributions align with the same quality and transparency standards. Any guest post would be clearly identified as such, and I would work closely with the contributor to maintain the blog’s voice and integrity. (As of now, I’m not actively soliciting guest posts, but I’m open to it if the content is a great fit.)
-
Images and Graphics: The photos and images on Jaxomo are a mix of my own snapshots and occasionally stock images or graphics. If an image is not mine, I either use royalty-free images or have permission to use it. I’ll provide captions or credits for any photos that are not taken by me (for example, a stock image might be noted, or a photo courtesy of someone). I do not manipulate images to be misleading – for instance, I won’t heavily edit a before-and-after skincare photo to exaggerate results. What you see is intended to be a real depiction. (Fun fact: I often use my trusty smartphone for outfit photos – nothing too fancy, but it does the job!)
In summary, the editorial approach of Jaxomo is all about authenticity, clarity, and trust. I want you to enjoy reading the blog and feel confident that you’re getting my genuine thoughts. My promise is to keep it real – sharing the things I love, the things I’m exploring, and being upfront about how I create content. If you ever have questions about why I wrote something or how I do my research for the blog, please don’t hesitate to ask. You can contact me at hello@jaxomo.com, and I’ll be happy to have a conversation. Thank you for reading Jaxomo and for trusting me as part of your fashion and beauty adventures!
